REMINDER

This is for all INITAO OBSERVERS: We are not against corrupt people. We are separating the person from corruption-separate the man from the attitude. The person is good, the attitude is from outside and acquired. What we try here is to wake up people the dangers of corruption, its lethal effect not only upon themselves but their future generations-siblings are affected. corruption's carry overs are deathly spirit poison.

WHY CORRUPTION IS LEAST TOPIC

From former PACD pioneer Pacquito Alavanza's experience in the field with the government, he concluded that corruption is already an ingrained commodity in the Filipino's person. What he stressed out was that every inch of the Pinoy is corrupt that Senator Miriam Santiago's Kliptocacy reference was only a bit of the whole being. "Sa kamot ra na", he said. And corruption is rarely a topic here until Pnoy's "Daang Matuwid" and "Kung walang korap walang mahirap" were pronounced. Why is corruption one least topic discussed? Alavanza's seeing eyes have already arrived magnification of corruption that he seemed to me, in resignation his conclusion was that corruption is nature! And he was just short saying that everybody is plagued of it. People dodge this for at the back of their minds is the realization they are sick with this and they are simply corrupt. From where corruption came? We will know.

SITUATIONER

It looks thievery, burglary are on the rise here and no accurate reports are available in the local police office nor in barangays. The reason is that people who complained do not officially report incidents of theft due adminisrative expense and bureaucaratic red tape, that they said, they just forgive prefer to forget incidents like this. a retired police officer once said, "wa na koy salig sa police dinhe, sa NBI ko niadto." He was a victim of burglary and break-in. Inland barangay thieves hush this, "mangawat ngani mayor, congressman, senador, kami pa?"

CONTRIBUTION-NECESSARY

Belen Saavedra recently told the Observer that all members or Initaonons that sought membership of Initao Observer should contribute here by way of expressing their opinions, send what they perceive good and even bad to help Initao in its growth and development. That they make comments on what they know for the good of all, not only for the few. Their observations, she pointed out, are necessary this time when events worldwide are getting worst. Initao is no exception, and the youth should rally "alang sa ilang maayong kaugmaon", she said.

OBSERVER-SINGLED OUT

Yesterday, 03 February 2014 at 1:35pm, along Osmena St. in Cagayan de Oro, I was flagged down by traffic enforcer Arniel Salon who told me to move roadside of Hayes St. the motorcycle I was riding. I asked him what for? He said I was running counter to NO ENTRY section and he issued me traffic citation ticket. While he was writing, I asked him, "Nganong wa man nimo dakpa tong gisundan nako nga puti nga awoto?", Salon answered,"Sa ako na tong mga kauban." I went to RTA office after his direction and knew that I have to pay 1500php for the traffic violation. I thought I was not entering a ONE WAY section, I was behind a white car. This traffic enforcer was violating traffic rules too by singling me out and letting the driver of that white car go away. And he thinks he can go away with this!

HE IS BEHOLDEN TO THEM

Ex Local Government Operations Officer Vimin Lozano recently told the Observer that Paquito Alavanza cannot just walk away from the Acains. He is beholden to them for past favors that his comments must be that defensive, he cannot be the admin's critic even criticize constructively. And she graded Gogoy 6 in the scale of 10 the way he administers Initao. "Palibot sa munisipyo mahugaw".

DIGGINGS FOLLOWED-UP

Initao ex-kagawad Belen Saavedra paid a visit to the Observer this afternoon and gave information on diggings done in the catholic cemetery here that is said for treasure hunting. She said she went to offices as the MHO, IPO, the Mayor's Office, and the office of the barangay captain of San Pedro to follow-up what she reported to them last January 3, that people who do not possess permit for the diggings, are even today continue to make their dig even more-that when she visited the graves of her relatives there, it stinked and she nearly vomited. "why is there no one arrested?", she complained. She said she overheard a police officer saying that people were already summoned but released. Saavedra said they were not told to sign papers for them to stop the diggings. "They must have protectors".
