IO REMINDER

To Initao Observers: As a group we remind ourselves as apolitical or simply non-partisan, but on matters personal, this is within our very own prerogative and one exercise of freedom and freewill. Personally we can be partisan. We have our duty to elect/select candidates that are qualified for positions they vie of serving the constituents they belong. Or de-select others who don;t deserve to be voted by us. And on the issue of corruption, we try to inform people about this that this is a menace all must expose and lick to the hilt. That it is lethal involving the very survival even of this one and only spaceship called earth. We are not against the corrupt though. It's the attitude not the person.

POSTING ONE MISSING LINK

Corruption as previously posted is; in the feeding, -eating, -thinking, -choosing, life sentence, and death sentence. There is one missing item after Genesis 3 review and here is it. Number 5 should be; CORRUPTION IS IN THE BLOOD(Gen. 3:15) And let us bear this in mind that CORRUPTION is more than just money or wealth. EVANGELICALS' LOCAL PROBLEMS

There is one problem that the Observer see among evangelicals in the locality, and this problem has not been addressed by them fair and square that it has become persistent throughout the years. For how long this will go on, this is one big question mark. The only reason is that they have no stronger spines-the credibility to lick it. They just bank on faith and hope that somehow God would solve it for them.

The World Is Defenseless Against The Next Financial Crisis, Warns BIS

The World Is Defenseless Against The Next Financial Crisis, Warns BIS

CORRUPTION-ONE LIFETIME

Genesis 3 of the Bible points out that corruption is only one short lifetime, and man this time is limited to just three score and ten, this is 70 years then death is certain. Here are what the account tells us: 1. Corruption is in the feeding-the serpent fed Adam and Eve; 2. Corruption is in the eating-the couple ate; 3. Corruption is in the thinking-they exercised decision making; 4. Corruption is in the choosing-their choice was an exercise of freewill God granted them; 5. Corruption is living-driven out of paradise, Adam and Eve lived what they chose-man since then does; 6. Corruption is dying-although they (Gen. 5) nearly reach 1000 years still they died. And the temporary life of corruption continued through the ages. Corrupt people are dead men walking-they have Adam's blood, as all men have, in their bloodstreams. They need the second Adam to make them alive. The life of Jesus will let them live a life everlasting.

THEY CAN RETIRE

Five Local employees who are involved in the graft case filed with the Ombudsman may be able to retire, said Ex-Kag. Pepito Gambe. He told the Observer Monday that he heard that MPDC Ariel Galarroza, Treasurer Cymbeline Tupag and Municipal Agriculturist Hernan Carbonilla are considering retirement. They can if Gogoy give them clearance, Gambe said, which is unlikely for he will be liable for this due to that pending case. "Madaut mas Gogoy". What will happen is they may retire without the benefit from the GSIS, he said.

A REMINDER TO OBSERVERS

Again this is to bear in our minds we are not On Target on corrupt persons, only corruption as support to the national government's program of "Matuwid Na Daan" and "Kong Walang Korap walang Mahirap". We focus on corruption, effects, its deadly-deathly results what people reaps due to this. The corrupt, i.e. persons who practice this are only collateral accomplishments about our aim of hope that they change, that those results may be averted and they may get saved from certain death even annihilation. This is because corruption is like a snake's tail held. the one holding that tail will certainly be bitten and die from venom that body defense system cannot counter. A degenerative disease that is carried over from generation to generation and only a change so necessary can stop short the disaster-destruction coming at the end.

INITAO CORRUPTION SEEN

Corruption is already a way of life, says a local government employee who in resignation see corruption as unsolvable and persistent problem that is here to stay. This employee was known to have been one of the many who somewhat idolized the late Enerito "Loloy" Acain and worked for him for so long. His survival in the local government was also due to his loyalty to him that he defended the dead man even to this days. And that he concludes whoever may be at the position to steer Initao will still live with corruption because he reasons, it is already SOP.

INDEPENDENCE DAY REMEMBERED

This morning in the town gymn, Local government officials and employees with representations from the private sectors participated in the floral offerings for this day's commemoration of Philippine Independence-from foreign dominations the nation went through. Speakers who noted only what they personally understood but did not have the full grasp what the day represents. Their speeches tell this so that listeners who have history as favorite subject will conclude that those are merely for the occasion's compliance-do not have the deeper meaning that people gets reminded about-get inspiration to defend it and even die for it like those people who fought for it and eventually died for it-for us to enjoy the freedom that they shed blood for.

CORRUPTION CURVED

Initao's corruption in LGU is alright controlled, recently points out an opposition stalwart who does not want identified here. This is due to COA that audits the local government on a regular basis. At least there is some cash inventory that somehow money is monitored closely how it's being spent by them, this person said. Initao may have therefore some kind of surplus if this person is right.

CORRUPTION TRIGGERS KILLING

The Pope knows so much why the Mid-East is in turmoil this days-that it's already made one "death valley". Arms sales make this valley a seemingly endless destination to die fast and bloody. Revenue from this reach billions even from the black market that smugglers there live like kings. This why the Pope said, corruption kills-he knew firsthand the Lord Jesus Christ was killed after He was sold for thirty pieces of silver.

He stayed in the rest house of Tenyeng Caberte near the seashore of San Pedro. Waslo no longer does heavy administrative works in his barangay, he just sign papers. His first kagawad does things for him, Dala said.

SOME UNKNOWN INFO

It's said in the Bible that "Knowledge will increase", but there still more unknowns left-things yet secret and maybe known by other people but you. What are those-these? Stay with us and know them. People will inform you. My comrade told me; of course we presume people don't know so that we inform them to know. For example: An informant told the observer yesterday that the president of the Senior Citizens of San Pedro Toyang Galarroza recruited members from Poblacion to supplement membership an emaciated SC list of the barangay whose resident-members stopped attending meetings due to her mismanagement.

RESIDENTS WORRIED

Barangay residents are worried that what happened to Kanitoan road near the national highway when the sanded and graveled road got a repeat of what was done when rain washed that down to vehicular route portion, will also happen to other roads upland as that of Tawantawan. The rain is near its season to shower Initao soon that these paved-prepared for cementing roads will again be going chocolate-mud caked that to cement them would be too costly.

COVERED COURT-NEARLY FINISHED

Tawantawan Chair Pat Dala told the Observer this afternoon that the Congressionally funded ceiling for their basketball court is nearly finished as seen by the Observer this afternoon. Final touches by welders from the contractors were the ones given attention. And it's 1.7M, from the second district congressman the Hon. Juliet Uy, Dala said.

CRUSADE-GOING ON

The lonely path of going against the tide is what Ex-kagawad Belen Saavedra is in these days and ever since her stint in the town's legislative body, she has been dubbed, "kontrabida". This is so, for she has been making people hard on their schemes to mislead others. Her defense of public good is what seems to be the drive on-motivation to pursue social justice. "Gusto ko klaruhay", she is heard saying. If only there are more of her genetic construction, Initao may have been a better place. What he needs though is more support from Initaonons who have the sane minds of looking forward for the good of Initao as a whole. The situation, though sadly is dismal and discouraging. But Nang Belen is relentless. Hers is one role of the Town's void of check and balance.

SOLUTION-WATERED DOWN

At Belen Saavedra's drive for the solution of Initao's dirty water, the ones given by LGU to treat it was only band-aid. This was known by the Observer this morning from her who said she was only shown actions that were not to solve the problem direct. This might be recalled, she said, that this was already known last February that even the provincial government made representations for this. Still even to this day, she stressed, Initao water is still dangerously unfit for human consumption or simply dirty. And town officials are not doing something solid to lick this oroblem once and for all, she said.

His coco-juice producing dwarf trees are from him, and that his SKs (saka-kanaug) are not so much burdened going up and down them for those varieties are not like the local ones that stand over 20 feet. The highest coco-tree he has, is only one, he said.

COCO-SUGAR PRODUCTION ON

In a chance meeting this afternoon by the roadside of his residence in Canilawan, Ex-SP Member Pepito Gambe told the Observer that their production of coco-sugar is on-going, and although yet meager it is growing towards their goal of bulk production. They still have two kilns, he said, that are making their moves steadier, and with two SKs, whom he calls (SAKA-KANAUG) (mga mananguete) that round the coconuts four times in a day for the juices, the supply for conversion is a little bit even. They are necessary though not from the local pools of SKs. A hundred twenty kilos yet of coco-sugar is their daily production this days. "Marketing, no problem", Gambe said.

FINANCERS KNOWN

The Observer's informant who recently tipped him said that four residents of Initao are financing the Tuba/coco-sugar production that is now on-going in Sitio Canilawan, Bgy. San Pedro, this town. The informant said, this financers are allocated a quota-like portion of the bulk intended for export by a Balingasag based producer. They are making this project big-expanding, he continued, and possibly to spearhead this in the locality. He was given over half a kilo of the sugar and it tasted good. He was told that it is lower in sweet content and that it is good for diabetics. And when that was about coming to nothing, he asked to buy but instead he was told just to inform the manager and he will have that for free. The financers are Pepito Gambe, Francis Balabat, Asterio Lagas and one JohnDoe.

MENTORS RESIGNING

A student who does not like his name named here told the Observer yesterday that instructors from MSU-IIT will no longer teach next year when Initao College opens for the school year 2015-2016. This, he said, was due to manueverings they saw hurting the education system-students of IC who were not deserving to pass and graduate were negotiated and were graduated. Three influencial women,Belen Saavedra, Vemin Lozano and Ancing Tan moved for the said students to be considered and parents of the students were said went to the mayor's office for intervention, and they got what they wanted. Added to this, the student continued, is the ambition of a doctorate graduate here to take over administration of IC. The Observer is bent on seeing this people involved and the board of Trustees.

EVANGELICALS-EVERY CHURCH FOR ITSELF

Evangelical churches here that went through getting organized have gone back individualists. Initao Evangelical Ministers Association, NACPHIL, Initao Religious Leaders Association are inactive for already over a year. No meetings held-no collective activities done except programs of their own church. There is something lacking for this people who are preaching unity yet as evangelicals so disunited.

WHY DID THE POPE SAY THAT?

The story goes as read by many, Pope Francis was interviewed by media in a plane during his recent visit here in our country. He was quoted among others as saying, "corruption...robs...kills..is a plague". If he is reading and studying the Bible, the Pope must have learned that corruption is a generational sin-has lethal effects extended to future generations. The act of one victimizes innocents-becoming corrupted-affected. The virus infects thus victimizes even the unborn.

MEN HAVEN'T LEARN FROM HISTORY

"History repeats itself", that the long run of history is seemingly shortened, for men does not learn from it thus keep on repeating over and over again. The fall of the so-called Holy Roman Empire, the great China's warring dynasties and the so-called God's chosen people Israel ought to give men the lesson that no nation on earth is invulnerable to corruption. If nations are, how much more for families or individuals who "drinks iniquity like water"? If the Pope reminded the Philippine leadership about corruption, that is to share his observation and experience in the corruption-ridden Vatican. He is correcting in the inside that he recently fired a cardinal.

And because this is so, we just pray for people in this kind of life gets awakened and realize that theirs is a life of certain death destruction and even annihilation. God is giving them time to change and make amends and in His due time He will judge.

REMINDERS ON CORRUPTION

Its still recent that the Pope visited the Philippines and he had some quotable quotes about corruption, and one of this is; "Corruption robs from the poor". This is from an authority of the largest denomination the world ever has. It's for certain, of his age, he has studied results of corruption the world over. History must have taught him that it is lethal. Its component actually is destruction. Because he is Italian, Rome's history is familiar to him and the grandeur that once was Rome's must have been, in his eyes vivid that with other learning he's got, drove him to say that.

SITUATIONER

LGU officials are on educational tour, the Observer was told by a staff assistant of the MPDC, who was also with the group in Cebu. They might have gone home and be able to attend the flag ceremony tomorrow. But since there was no details given about their trip, this could be uncertain until tomorrow. Meanwhile, some barangay officials are preparing for the SK elections amidst opinions against this that according to some residents/voters, this is only a waste of people's money due to the redundancy of getting this back; not only that waste, but the early skills training of the youth on corruption is what and why SK should be scrapped for good. "Imagine SKs buying votes at 100php for each voter!" At an earlier ages, this group learn the trade from politicians that teach them how to win at all cost.

CORRUPTION-THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT

Last year's survey on the fruit of the tree that our mother Lady Eve ate first, the Observer interviewed ten evangelical pastors of Initao. Only two questions were to be answered. Ten were able to identify the fruit as that of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Of course this was a given, for Moses' record shows (Genesis 3) that the fruit was indeed was that. But on the second question; what fruit is that today? Only one nearly got it right but the rest said they don't know! And this fruit, just as those servants of God hardly know, is better known today, you guess it, yes-corruption. Next time we will explain why.

LIBERTAD MARKET PARTLY RAZED

At midnight last night in Libertad, fire burned seven stools of its public market. With the help of Initao Fire Department that responded first the fire was earlier controlled and did not spread much due also to the absence of the wind from the North. A little rainfall also helped in the containment of the fire, residents said. The Observer was told that Libertad's information officer was yet to give details of the incident. He was then at the fire sight making rounds to gather as much information he my have for to answer questions. Faulty wirings were said to be the culprit.

SKILLS TRAININGS GOING ON

In nearby town of Libertad's somewhat newly built and unfinished building for TESDA trainings, people from barangays of West Misamis Oriental hae undergone and even now are undergoing various trainings on skills they prefer of acquiring such as carpentry, masonry, welding and painting. It is known there that these TESDA funded trainings are done to develop skills on candidates for purposes of filling up pools of skilled workers here and for abroad. These trainings as known are for those who are first timers and in case of people having passed basic trainings-are for their additional EQs as they acquire National Certifications ll in case of teachers of the DepEd, and others. This time the above-mentioned skills getting implemented are the only ones available, but according to people there, other courses will be offered.

WHY CORRUPTION IS LADY'S CHOICE

The landowner who appointed a couple to stewardship of His land, gave them instructions to follow for their good landowner-tenant relationship- that when followed were what guaranteed the good flow of that relationship. They were in advance warned of the consequences when those instructions are not followed. Consequences that came because the wife first defied those that she went into an irreversible decision to violate them-dragging her husband that made those violations more of an agreement by both of them plus the one that enticed her to do the same. That made the act a lady's choice. It was mother Eve in the garden of God that ate first of the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and evil. Why, was that fruit identifies corruption? We'll answer this next time.

CORRUPTION-LADY'S CHOICE

In line with governments' drive against corruption, the OBSERVER is running articles-whats and wherefores of this disease. As introduction, this is it: CORRUPTION-LADY'S CHOICE. Long ago, a loving land owner made a couple tenants/stewards of a piece of land that was in advance prepared for their occupancy. Provisions included and at that time, nothing else they'd want that were not there, to the envy of one power grabber who enticed them of defiance-disbelief and eventually unfaithfulness that left them getting kicked out from their tenanted land thus lost also their stewardship of that one time privilege. Their fault we may say was simply; not following instructions. What made them grow weary of just following instructions and instead follow other entity's wily and misleading enticements? There are still other questions we may ask and answer for this series. We will answer them piece by piece.

PINILIAY IPAHIGAYON

IO REMINDER

2015 has just entered and INITAO OBSERVERS are reminded here that as such, we should not stand in Judgment(s) about corrupt politicians, government executives-employees, etc. We are not to kick out God from His judgment seat that is the right venue for that that accuracy of judgments is not only real but fit-fair and with love because God is love. His decisions must be right and nothing is questionably reversible.
