COMELEC IS PREPARING

In the local office of the COMELEC this morning, the Observer was informed that the staff has been busy since last week that they were in Cagayan de Oro attending briefings and seminars for the up and coming barangay elections. Its mandated by law that this elections take place October this year after getting postponed last year. What they are doing these days, we were told, is prepare, like inventory of the registered voters, both old and new and other preparations as registration forms like certificates of candidacies. Filing of this certificates are no longer with pay, that's going to be free, they said.
