PEPITO GAME RECUPERATING

Pastor Glen Sondolan of VICTORY CHAPEL fellowship arrived here in Initao earlier this year and rented the lower plane of Alavanza family residence that Pastor Ale Baladjay of CAF formerly rented. Ptr. Glen as he fondly called is from Bukidnon and member of the Higaunon tribe. He informed my wife Melody about his background there getting taught by his mentor about God even with his lower elementary grade educational qualification. He was not in the category of educated people but solely depend on God's inspiration through the Holy Spirit. He is good in the Cebuano vernacular language. I heard him preached in the market one Sunday. Victory Chapel fellowship has three services Sundays Morning, Afternoon and evening. Melody attends in the evening.

PDP-LABAN IN SHAMBLES?

Senior Citizens Organization of San Pedro is for the members' good now for a time pending expansion. There is understandably resistance to its creation but this is actually for MSWDO's help in enhancing its services to old folks of the municipality. TEACHER WANTED

Now that Pastor Margarito Ampo is dead, students of Mindanao Bible Seminary in Opol is without a mentor, said this night Rico Salaysay as he helps the Ampo family prepare this night's wake in the FBC site here in San Pedro. . He said he is one of his students there under the Pastor. The seminary faculty will find another to replace him. We will not be able to finish our course without us getting the replacement, he also said.

FUN RUN SCHEDULED

Come March 29th said Initao Runners/Joggers Club founder Dodong Elicuman, three categories of runners/joggers will compete in the open competition here in Initao. OTHER SC GROUP ORGANISED

A separate group of senior citizens in Barangay San Pedro was organized 30 January. This was due to flawed administration that a number of senior citizens agreed to form themselves to prevent conflict with the officers of the existing association. Aside from this obvious reason, the objective of this second group is to enjoy privileges that are provided for in the senior citizens law other than what the government has been giving but those that private entities have-NGOs, corporations that have items in their budgets for community service that they donate to non-profit organisations such as ours for tax deduction purposes.
